"I'm a farmer, musician and artist. I live on our farm in Oropi. I think it is important to have original art on our walls, whether it is one of your child’s first efforts, or a work from a well-known artist. Art brightens our homes, reminds us of special places and moments, and brings images with layers of meaning into our lives. 

I took Art at Tauranga Boy’s College and played with it a bit before I got married. My mum liked to paint and always encouraged me. I’m different to my mum though – she liked to do a one-off. I preferred to do multiple versions of a subject, experimenting with styles as I develop different ways to present the subject matter."
