Bio

From a young age, I was always a creative person with a passion for art. I pursued it during school until the 5th form, but my parents urged me to focus on "real subjects" and so I dropped art. Despite setting aside my painting ambitions, my creative spark remained. I have been into art and crafts in many forms. But in 2023, life took on unexpected turns when my husband had a heart attack, necessitating quadruple bypass surgery and leading to complications. Amid this chaos, I returned to and found solace in painting again, rediscovering myself and my true passion. My renewed love for painting has been transformative. I joined the Tauranga Artists Society and founded the Pyes Pā Art Lovers Exhibition in 2025. I've always become an advocate for the therapeutic benefits of art for mental health.
